j.k. is a Venezuelan-Canadian first-generation immigrant living in New York City and working as a cybersecurity reporter. Before moving to New York, they worked as a journalist for The Fergus Falls Daily Journal, taught sixth grade Spanish immersion, worked as a public assistance eligibility worker, and taught fourth grade English in Shanghai, China. They are a journalist, creative fiction writer, teacher, and photographer.
